I am glad we chose this place last Saturday. It was really a great walking trail that offers so many different walks for different folks and you can choose a long or short trail or you can do all.
The bush was lush, little stream running inside. Mu mates and I truly enjoyed it.
Good for hiking, dog walking, mountain biking or simply enjoying the fernery and big trunked kauris.
Nice, slightly undulating walk. Not spectacular, but very pleasant. Definitely added to our list of walks.
Absolutely beautiful. Our first visit to Eskdale Reserve in some years, and the paths have been greatly improved. They are wide and accessible- great for bikes and prams, maybe even a wheelchair (although a few steeper spots to be careful of). Dogs allowed. No toilets. Parking on Eskdale Rd somewhat limited but we managed to find something on a busy Saturday. Our two kids ages 3 and 5 had a fantastic time. We’ll be back.
A good place on the Nth Shore on a hot day as all under cover of bush. There is a variety of wide loop tracks that have been upgraded and made suitable for pushchairs and electric wheel chairs
An amazing trail to take the little one with. So many ins and outs. The length of the trail is entirely up to you. Gorgeous little fairy doors to find and little waterfalls. Absolutely loved walking this trail with my family.
Really enjoy the upgrade, one can spend as long as 4 hours here as it joins to another bush walk. Only found one muddy path which in turn create a different kind of adventure to this journey.
Excellent walking and running trail. It's roughly a 3k loop with a number of off shoots that go out to other roads. Also wonderful to bring your dog, off lead, if it's friendly to other dogs and people. Not great for biking because of the people walking and running and dogs off lead.
Great place to getaway from it all. Well formed tracks through the bush. Lots of different paths. You'll see little waterfalls, lots of bird life and probably a few mountain bikers.
Wow! Awesome experience walking alone through the woods!
Beautiful scenery and an easy walk. If its been wet then it can get muddy. The entrance cleaning facilities are a but iffy.
